How to Root Your Android Device

#1. Root Using an app

The easiest way to use your Android is installing  KingoRoot app which literally performs the root process with just one tap. it is s not available in the Google Play Store, you must download the KingoRoot APK and manually install it. If that doesn’t work you’re working on your PC, download the APK and email it to yourself as an attachment. Then, on your device, open that e-mail and download.

To install it, however, your device is set to allow apps from unknown sources. go to Settings, tap Security, scroll down to Unknown Sources and toggle the switch to the on position.

Now you can install KingoRoot. Then run the app, tap One Click Root, and cross your fingers. If all goes well, your device should be rooted within about 60 seconds.

Step 2: Enable USB debugging mode on your phone.for this goes to  Settings, Developer Options, then tick the box for “USB debugging.” OR go to, Developer Options, and then tick USB debugging.” Then tap OK to approve the setting change.

Step 4: Click Root, then sit back and wait while the utility does its thing. After a few minutes. And that’s all there is to it. [If you decide you want to reverse the process, just run Android Root again, connect your phone, then click Remove Root]

#3.Root Android Using CWM

CWM (ClockworkMod) is a custom recovery tool for Rooted Android phones, tablets, and other devices. CWM is used to carry out operations like recovery, restoration, installation, and maintenance on your Android phone. The most popular use of CWM is to install a Custom  OS on any Rooted Android phone to give you a lot more control on your device. With a custom recovery, you can install official and unofficial ROMs as well as apps, themes, kernels and partition on your device SD card, manage and restore backups and so on.

Unlocking the Bootloader

For some devices, it’s not necessary to unlock bootloader for rooting. But flashing custom ROM or recovery is not possible without unlocking the bootloader. The bootloader is basically a security layer which helps to avoid any external program to change the ROM files which may cause harm to the device.

Unlocking your phone’s bootloader voids its warranty. It also completely wipes (formats) your Android phone’s internal memory

Rooting process

  1. Without exiting the Recovery, just download the SU binary flash zip for your device – from here.
  2. Connect your phone to your PC

For all the good that is rooting, you may want to go back to the way things were. Whatever method you decide to attempt, make sure that you backup your data first.(sometimes un-root won’t be successful)

Unroot with SuperSU

SuperSU allows you to unroot phones by simply going into the app’s settings and selecting the full unroot option. It is a really helpful option.Open the SuperSU app. Go to Settings, and scroll all the way to the bottom until you see the Full Unroot button. Tap it, hit continue, and the unrooting process will begin.

Unroot by flashing stock firmware

One of the most thorough ways to remove root access is by flashing your device, with factory firmware. It will wipe your phone or tablet clean of any root traces.First, download the factory image for your device to your computer. XDA is the great resource.

I do not in any way recommend anyone to root their Android device.
